Giralda Tower

Spain, Seville, Avenue of the Constitution

Description:

The Giralda Tower is a symbol of Seville. The four-cornered tower rises above the Seville Cathedral to a height of 93 meters.

The Giralda Tower was named after the weather vane, an angel figurine installed on it in the 16th century. The base of the tower is made of large stones taken from Roman buildings. Ancient Roman inscriptions can still be seen on these stones. The ancient Moorish part of the tower rises 70 meters. Outside, at an altitude of 25 meters, the ornamental pattern begins.

From the observation deck there is a magnificent view of Seville.
