Fortress Royal Alcázar
Description:
The Royal Alcazar is located in Seville. The construction of this city fortress began in the 14th century. For seven centuries, Alcazar was the palace of the kings of Spain, and now it is the official residence of the royal family. Today it is one of the best preserved examples of Mudejar architecture.
The exquisitely decorated walls and ceilings of Charles V’s luxurious room and the Ambassadorial Hall are real works of art. In the Maiden Patio, magnificent friezes, tiles and stucco appear. In the general ensemble organically fit wonderful gardens with alleys, along which grow fragrant bushes of roses and orange trees.
