Maria Luisa Park
Av de los Cisnes, 41013 Sevilla, Spain
Description:
Maria Luisa Park is the largest green island of Seville, a major industrial and tourist city in Spain. It is always full of visitors, especially at the end of the week.
This garden was donated by Princess Mary to the city of Seville in 1893. Its modernization and improvement were carried out by the French engineer Forestier, in connection with the Spanish-American exhibition in 1929. In his work, Forestier emphasized his respect for the design of the former princess gardens and maintained the structure of the park in its former style. The roads here intersect in gazebos with beautiful fountains and statues. Such splendor turns the park into a real open-air museum!
The flora of this amazing park consists of groves of elms and acacias, as well as magnificent hedges formed by curly roses.
