Gardens of Alcazar
Description:
The gardens of Alcazar are one of the most beautiful gardens located in the Alcazar estate. It was as if the waters and plants were together. Gardens occupy one-fourth of the estate. This huge area is divided into several gardens and each has its own name. The complex of gardens includes the Garden of the Cross, the Great Garden, the Garden of Troy, the Orange Grove, the Garden of Flowers and many others.
The gardens were planted by Charles V. Here you can see cypresses, palm trees, lemon trees, orange trees. All of them decorate majestically located large ponds and fountains. Initially, water came through the Sierra Morena water supply, but now plants are fed by ponds. Most of the ponds were created artificially in the XIX century. These gardens are the most beautiful in Barcelona.
