International Women's Day

Description:

... . Why doesn't this happen all year?
International Women’s Day (Giorno delle Donne) – March 8, unlike Russia, is not a state holiday and is not too beloved by Italian women.

Their motives are clear:
“Why is it that one day of the year we are loved, cared for, considered special and wonderful? Why doesn’t it happen all year round?

Would it be more attractive and attractive if it was celebrated in Russian style? With flowers, candy and champagne, toast in poetry and a holiday at work.

Since 1946, the symbol of the Italian on March 8 was the mimosa, which was proposed on the first post-war March 8 by the Council of Italian Women as a flower characterizing a women's holiday. And since then, on March 8, a traditional gift for Italian women is a bouquet of yellow and fluffy mimosa.

It is also known that some women prefer to celebrate this holiday without their other half. They gather in a restaurant, osteria or any other establishment, and there, for food, drinks and gossip come up with further entertainment for the evening.
