Sea Caves of Polignano a Mare

34 km south of Bari

Description:

Polignano a Mare is a charming town on the coast of the crystal clear Adriatic. Charming houses huddled on the very edge of the coast right on the karst rocks eaten by time and the sea. From the numerous terraces there are incredible views.

The most picturesque coast, the incredible color of water, rocks, sea air, the charm of southern antiquity - you fall in love with such towns immediately. In Polignano a Mare there are old buildings of interest to tourists. But there are also natural attractions. For example, sea caves, or grottoes. There are a lot of them in these places. Some can be reached only from the sea, others from land. There is a restaurant in one of the caves. Others preserve the pristine natural beauty.

The caves are interesting not only as natural picturesque objects, but also as historical - archaeological values of different epochs were found here.
