Adda North Park

A few kilometers northeast of Milan, Italy

Description:

Adda North Park is a huge regional park located northeast of Milan. The park stretches into the Adda River Valley and attracts a huge number of tourists every year.

Adda North Park was founded in 1973 by a joint decree of Milan and Trezzo. The purpose of the park was to preserve the cultural and natural heritage of the Lombardy region. As a result, the total area of the park was 5650 hectares. However, unlike other conservation areas, Adda has many architectural sites along with natural ones. The river valley is rich in various hydraulic structures - there are old power plants and dams built at the beginning of the last century. The most beautiful bridges are thrown across the river, and along the banks there are ancient medieval castles - Trezzo, Cassano and Brivio.

Adda North Park is one of the most picturesque places in northern Italy.
