Funicular to the Old Town
About the company:
Bergamo is a large city located in the north of Italy, about 50 kilometers from Milan. Its peculiarity is that the administrative boundaries are located in two dissimilar districts at once - the New Town, which arose in the second half of the 19th century, and the Old Medieval Bergamo, which is mainly aspired by all tourists. An ordinary trip to the old city by car or bus will not be as bright and memorable as a trip along a steep slope in a tiny trailer. The lower station of the funicular is located on Vial delle Mura Street, and the upper station is a few steps from the popular Santa Maria Maggiore temple. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office near the landing area. The fare is 1.2 euros.
When planning a trip on the funicular, try to take a place in advance, as it is very popular with both tourists and locals. Each flight takes almost forty passengers, the number of remaining free seats is informed by the counter installed at the turnstiles. A trip on the funicular will give you a lot of positive emotions, you can see the main attractions of the old city and take magnificent photos.
