But at the head of all the experiments of the 13th and 16th centuries were the monks of the Order of St. Domenic, one of the most influential orders - great preachers and enlighteners, translators and doctors, architects and scientists.
The interior of the church, magnificent frescoes of different eras tell a lot about the history of not only the order, but also the rich families of Florence and their desire to perpetuate themselves for centuries and pay for all their sins during life.
