San Lorenzo Market
Description:
San Lorenzo is the most important market in the city. It is located in the heart of Florence, on the territory from the square of the same name to the street Dell’Ariento, around the Basilica of San Lorenzo. Here they sell clothes, leather goods, souvenirs and food. You can try anything, even wine! It’s great to have breakfast here, I recommend it to everyone!
Nearby is the Basilica di San Lorenzo (Basilica di San Lorenzo) - one of the oldest churches in the city: this cathedral of Florence was consecrated in 393 by Saint Ambrose. The Romanesque features of this temple acquired as a result of reconstruction in 1060. The church received its modern appearance in 1423, after it was rebuilt by the architect Brunelleschi by order of Cosimo Medici the Elder.
