Camogli Embankment

Salita Pinetto, 6, 16032 Camogli GE, Italy

Description:

In the fishing town of Kamogli, literally every meter is imbued with the spirit of the early Middle Ages.

Traditional colorful houses with pink, yellow and red walls surround the picturesque harbor, where pleasure yachts and fishing boats anchor. Above the harbour stands the ancient church and the castle of Castello della Dragonara, founded in 1000. Now it houses a museum of navigation and an aquarium, where local fish species are presented.

But a truly beautiful view of Kamogli opens from the embankment. It can be reached from the top of the city in just a few minutes. From here, the city resembles a large children's toy made of small cubes. Only the cubes are not bright, but painted in pastel colors.

From the promenade, the city looks quite small and it seems strange that you walked along its streets all day.
