Royal Palace in Caserta

Description:

It is still the largest ceremonial palace structure in Europe.

The Royal Palace is one of the symbols of the country's past, which played an important role in the history of Naples and all of Italy and today remains the emblem of a great nation.

The brainchild of the brilliant Luigi Vanvitelli, it amazes with its scope and architectural delights.

Created at the behest of the Caral lll of the Bourbon dynasty, it perfectly combines the features of the Palace of Versailles and the Madrid Escorial.

Located on an area of 45,000 sq. m., built almost a hundred years, it still amazes in scope - its facade rises 36 meters, consists of five floors it is decorated with 134 windows. The palace has 1,200 rooms and 34 stairs.

The interiors of the palace are an anthem of luxury and elegance, the result of the work of the main artists of the kingdom. One of the most beautiful rooms of the palace, the Palatine Chapel, was erected and decorated by Vanvitelli himself. The palace theater is a real pearl of 18th century architecture. The halls of the palace surprise with an abundance of stucco and carvings, frescoes and sculptures.

I invite you to make a return to the wonderful and so tangible past, walking around the halls surrounded by magnificent furniture of extraordinary value and through the endless park and the English Garden of Rare Beauty.
