Elena,
My services and offers
Dear travelers arriving at the port of Livorno, I want to give you some useful information.
Tourists from the cruise will have one day at their disposal and the most optimal is a visit to Pisa and Florence and, if desired, also one of the world-class museums, for example, Uffica, where the masterpieces of Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Titian, etc., or the Academy of Fine Arts, where the original sculptures of Michelangelo are located, etc.
I advise you to book a car (for example, MINI VAN Mercedes can accommodate up to 7-8 passengers) with a driver who will meet tourists in the port of Livorno, transport to Florence, where you should book a tour. The car has the right of entry and movement in the historical center of both Florence and Pisa, unlike the bus, which is usually offered for tourist groups, and there is no need to waste time on additional crossings and / or long crossings.
You can come to Florence or Pisa cheaply by train, but you can’t see both cities by train.
The approximate plan of the tour Livorno-Pisa-Florence-Livorno:
Livorno-Pisa 8:00 - 8:35
Inspection p. Miracles (Duomo, Baptistry, Bell Tower) 8:35 - 10:30 (with or without a guide)
Transfer Pisa - Florence 10:30 - 12:00
Sightseeing tour of Florence - 2 hours, 12:00 - 14:00
Tour of Uffica - 2 hours, 14:00 - 16:00
or
sightseeing tour of Florence 12:00 - 15:00
Free time (lunch, souvenirs) 15:00 - 16:00
Departure from Florence with a stop on the plo. Michelangelo 16:00
Transfer Florence - Livorno 16:30 - 18:00
A classic sightseeing tour of the main sights of Florence includes:
- Republic Square,
- Duomo cathedral,
- Giotto bell tower,
- baptism,
- Dante's house,
- wool board,
- Old Grain Market / Church of Orsanmichele,
- "New" market, "Kabanchik" fountain,
- Old or "Golden" bridge (go by yourself after the tour),
- Signoria Square,
- Old Palace (Palace of Signoria),
- Lanzi loggia,
- Uffizi Palace and a visit to the painting gallery,
- Gondi Palace,
- Bargello Palace,
- Basilica of the Holy Cross (at the request of tourists visit inside, entrance - 5 euros),
- History and art of Florence, etc.
I would advise, leaving Florence, to visit the Piazza Michelangelo, which offers amazing views of the city from the high bank of the Arno River, and the Church of San Miniato and/or the Church of Santa Maria Novella.
It is worth booking tickets to enter Uffitsa in advance at a certain time in advance.
The cost of tickets is 15 euros per person.
I want to give you information about the distances between the cities of Tuscany that you would like to visit, which will allow you to more realistically assess the strength and time and better plan the route.
- Livorno, Pisa, Luca - west of Florence
- Livorno - Florence - 121 km - approximately 1 hour 31 min
- Florence - Lucca - 80.4 km - approximately 1 hour 5 min
- Lucca - Pisa - 121 km - approximately 1 hour 31 min
- Pisa - Livorno - 22.7 km - about 30 minutes
(Travel time is approximate, may be shorter or longer, depending on traffic.)
You need to visit Florence as a minimum of 2 hours, I recommend 3 hours.
You need at least 45 minutes - 1 hour to visit Pisa.
Or 15-30 minutes to visit Wonder Square and take photos.
The Uffitsa Museum requires at least 1.5 - 2 hours
Academy (Sculptures by Michelangelo) - 1 hour
Gallery Palatine of Pitti Palace - 1 hour 30 minutes
Happy voyage!
Elena
