Pinocchio Fountain
Via Ciro Menotti, Milano, Italy
Description:
The Pinocchio Fountain is one of Milan’s many attractions located on the central Corso Indipendenza Avenue. It was designed by Italian sculptor Attilio Fagioli in 1970. The last reconstruction of the building was carried out in 1999, as a result of which the pipes were replaced and the pedestal of the fairy-tale character was strengthened.
The diameter of the base of the fountain is 3 meters. Inside it is a three-tiered granite pedestal, on which a bronze sculpture of the fabulous character Pinocchio is installed. The height of the monument, together with the pedestal, is about 4.5 meters. The fountain is very popular with tourists and locals, you can often meet couples in love here. Near the fountain there is a square equipped with benches and gazebos.
