Parco delle Cave Park
Description:
Parco delle Cave is one of the largest parks in Milan, occupying the second place in the city. The park is unusually beautiful, which attracts many tourists, as well as fans of hiking in the fresh air.
"Parco delle Cave" in Russian means "park with caves". The caves are really present here – four. They arose in the twenties of the 20th century as a result of the industrial extraction of gravel and sand. Later, when the development was discontinued, it was decided to set up a park on this site, which opened in 2002.
Today, the Parco delle Cave covers an area of more than 130 hectares and is home to a huge variety of animals and birds. In addition to caves, the local attractions of the park are lakes, occupying a significant part of its territory.
