Ischia Island
Description:
Off the west coast of Italy in the Tyrrhenian Sea is a small volcanic island of Ischia. From Naples you can get here by ferry in just an hour. Calm and measured rhythm of life on the island is often recommended for rest with the whole family with children. This is one of the most comfortable resorts in Italy.
The main pride of Ischia is the thermal parks. Even the ancient Romans noticed the amazing healing properties of local springs, which formed around themselves whole pools of therapeutic mud. Elizabeth Taylor in our time regularly came to Ischia to relax and at the same time to put the skin in order. Under the influence of the sun, a certain type of bacteria and salty sea air, this mud acquires rejuvenating and healing qualities, which, combined with mineral-rich water, treats better than any drugs and procedures. All you have to do is sit in the pool. Throughout the island there are thermal parks - Castilene Gardens, Gardens of Eden, Gardens of Negombo, Gardens of Poseidon, etc.
The unspoken symbol of the island is considered to be the Aragonese castle, towering next to Ischia Ponte. In Serrara, the smallest town on the island, is the small fishing village of Sant'Angelo. It's an amazingly beautiful place. All the houses by the sea are painted in all shades of pink. On the narrow streets lurked small shops, pizzerias and restaurants, in the neighborhood there are several beautiful cathedrals and churches.
