Naples

Port of Naples

-

Description:

The port of Naples is so huge that at first it may seem to occupy the entire coast. In fact, its total length occupies just over six kilometers of coastline. But since the city immediately begins, the size seems much larger.

The port is divided into a passenger area, which is almost near the main attractions, and a cargo area, through which famous Italian wines and expensive cars are sent around the world. In the passenger area there is a tourist port, from where they regularly go to Capri, Ischia, Procida, Catania and even Tunisia.

Today, the port building has been finally restored in the classical style, terminals have been expanded and a commercial center with cafes and shops has been completed. Here you can buy a tourist map of Naples. After all, when you leave the port building, you immediately enter the city. Just a stone’s throw away is the New Castle and the Royal Palace, and just up the street is the famous Santa Lucia district.
