Via Roma Street
Description:
Via Roma is one of the most famous streets of Veneto, which runs from Porta Pinciana to Piazza Barberini. Originally it was called an Italian region, and after the First World War it was renamed in honor of the great battle of Vittorio Roma, which occurred near the eponymous commune in the northern part of Italy.
Via Roma was designed in the late 18th century. In the 50s and 60s of the 20th century, it gained great fame as the center of social life of the city of Padua, thanks to the numerous shops, cafes and hotels that visited various famous people. Here are the “Café de Paris” and “Harris Bar”, shown in the popular film “The Sweet Life” by Federico Fellini.
In the 1980s, the street’s popularity dropped significantly, but today it has found its former luxury. Here is one of the fashionable hotels of the city, as well as many historical and cultural attractions. After visiting Via Roma, you can visit world-famous boutiques and dine in luxury restaurants.
