Parma castles
Description:
fontanellato
The castle of the Sanvitale family in Fontanellato has been preserved in the form in which it was sold by the last owner to the local municipality in the middle of the XX century: furniture, paintings, dishes, weapons. Again, there are not many castles left that are still surrounded by a moat. In one of the towers there is a miracle of technology of the past centuries, a real camera obscura, the only one open to visitors in Italy. But the main attraction is, of course, the so-called Parmigianino Room, which the twenty-year-old gifted artist painted in 40 days by candlelight, and these frescoes are an unconditional masterpiece of the Renaissance.
soranya
The luxurious castle where the real prince still lives, Diofebo VI Meli Lupi, a pleasant person, by the way, which is important. How many houses are there in Italy? Unfortunately...
By the way, his private apartments occupy a very fast part, everything else can be seen. A visit to this ancient castle surprises even travelers who are very difficult to surprise. Even a ghost exists, as in any decent castle. I hope I intrigued you.
Torrequiara
What a landscape! Beautiful hills, trees and vineyards. And also a touching story of Love of the XV century (namely Love with a capital letter). Pierre Maria Rossi, condottier of the Visconti of Milan and a wealthy local feudal lord (fascinated by mathematics, astronomy and spoke six languages!) built this castle for his beloved Bianca Pellegrini. She was married, and the count was married, but these circumstances did not prevent the lovers to carry their feelings through their lives.
