Torrequiara Castle
Strada Mulino, 9, 43013 Langhirano Parma, Italy
Description:
Torrecjar Castle was built in the XV century and became a symbol of the illicit love of Pierre Rossi, condottier of the Duke of Visconti of Milan, and Bianca Pellegrini.
The golden room of the castle was decorated with frescoes by Benedetto Bembo and finished with gold pattern, tiles and foil especially for Bianca. Each element of Torrequiara Castle reminds its guests of their loved ones. The western tower is decorated with the coat of arms of Mrs. Pellegrini, Bianca and Pierre Rossi were buried in the chapel of St. Nicomed.
As befits any self-respecting castle, Torrekjara is haunted by a ghost. During the full moon, a girl of heavenly beauty appears. Legend has it that during the construction of the superstitious masters walled the girl in the walls of the castle. But it seems that the ghost behaves friendly - gives kisses to men.
