Pompeii

Pompeii is a city buried alive.

Description:

Pompeii has long been one of the most glorious archaeological wonders of the world.

Visiting this “living” city, you have the opportunity to take a fresh look at the disaster that befell it in 79. A.E., then, as if in a fit of instant fury, the volcano Vesuvius, unleashed on it and other settlements, countless tons of stones and ash. So, as if “sealing” all this area tightly, Vesuvius, in fact, stopped time. The discovery of Pompeii and the ruins of other settlements nearby was one of the greatest developments in archaeology.

We have a unique opportunity, walking around the city, to recreate a detailed and comprehensive picture of the life of the first century AD. The surviving paintings and mosaics tell us about the beliefs and everyday customs, traditions and culture that reigned in the ancient Roman era. Graffiti and appeals on Pompeii walls allow you to follow the political events of those years. You can see signs of interrupted work in bakeries, workshops and wool slaughterhouses. Plants are still recognized in the gardens. They also found food that people ate.
