Extraordinary Park Museum "Musaba"
Description:
This time we will go to a small town sheltered among the mountains with a strange name Mammola. It has long been famous for its inns, where cod is very tasty. It was even called the “City of Cod”.
But the purpose of our trip is not gastronomic, but completely different. We will go there for other food, more sublime and refined. Although you can combine both at will. It is not by the same spirit that man lives, but by his daily bread.
So, we go to the park-museum with the sonorous name “Musaba”. This is a very unusual place and, unfortunately, very little known. A place where history, art, creativity and culture go hand in hand. Remarkable, original paintings, magnificent sculptures and stunning mosaics of the Calabrian artist Spatari, full of pathos and originality.
Only an artistic genius and a talented visionary could imagine and bring to life such a creation where art illustrates the path of human history. The finished works are still incomplete, all projected into the future, but their roots go back to the ancient culture of the world or even worlds.
Perhaps the most remarkable and fascinating place in this museum is the ancient chapel, all the walls of which and even the ceiling are painted with modern frescoes on the subject of the Old Testament plot “The Dream of Jacob”. Visitors compare it to the Sistine Chapel.
I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see what will become history tomorrow.
