Barbagia is a wild area of Sardinia. Grottoes of Bue Marino
Description:
If you are vacationing in Sardinia with children, then the ideal solution is to go on an excursion to Barbagia. You and your children will have many pleasant surprises. First you will go to the town of Cala Gonone, and on the way our guide will tell you about Sardinia in general and directly about Barbagia - the most "wild" region of the island, which is distinguished by its magnificent mountain scenery. The mountains here have a silver color and resemble halva. Cala Gonone itself is located on the shores of Orosei Bay and is a place that is visited annually by a large number of tourists.
With Cala Gononé, you will take a small boat trip that takes you straight to the caves of Bue Marino. For a long time they served as a haven for seals-monks, who here produced their offspring. It is these animals that the caves owe their name. Together with a cave guide, you will delve a kilometer into the cave, where you can admire the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, and also learn a lot of new information about how these beautiful natural structures are formed. After that, you can sunbathe on one of the best beaches of eastern Sardinia and swim in the sea with the cleanest water.
Returning to Cala Gonon, you will visit one of the best aquariums on the island, where you will get acquainted with the ichthyofauna of the Tyrrhenian Sea. In huge aquariums live fish of different colors and sizes. You will even see a real shark here. For lunch you will go to the best agro-tourist complex in Sardinia - Su-Gologon. Here you will taste the traditional dishes of the island, the main of which is a milk pig cooked on a spit. The complex itself is an open-air museum, where you will see how Sardinian bread is baked, learn about local crafts, walk along the alley, along which fragrant herbs often used in cooking.
Then you can enjoy an aperitif in the shade of eucalyptus on one of the secluded terraces of Su-Gologon, or go for a walk to the largest karst spring in Sardinia. At this time, your children can have fun by drawing or sculpting.
