Museum of Wind

Trieste, Italy

About the company:

One of the most unusual museums in Italy is the Museum of Winds, which opened in 2007 in Trieste. It is dedicated to boron, icy sea wind. The museum was created on the initiative of a group of local activists who agree with the opinion of the famous Italian artist Carlo Vostri that the only interesting attraction of the city is a strong wind, the speed of which sometimes reaches 100 meters per second. The exposition of the museum presents documents and items related to the beginning of the use of wind power by man: sails, wind turbines, as well as various modern devices designed to generate electricity. In addition, here you can see all kinds of bottles, boxes and cans, which contain winds from different parts of the world.

Near the museum there is a small shop where you can buy souvenirs for the whole family. Also nearby is a wonderful restaurant where you can eat and discuss the tour. The museum has experienced guides who will help make your walk even more interesting.
