Tasting of Verona wines with peasant snack + sightseeing tour of the city
Description:
Verona is famous for its wines and annually hosts the largest international wine exhibition Vinitaly.
We offer you to get acquainted with the Verona gastronomic traditions and drink the famous Verona wine Amarone in the local enoteque Francesco.
A fan of Amarone "dry, red, good-natured as a brother's house" was Ernst Hemingway himself.
The tasting of three wines is accompanied by local cheese. For dessert wine will be offered crumbly cake "Sbrizolon".
The tasting is part of an introductory tour of the city and takes place along the following route:
Ancient Roman amphitheater, Castelvecchio Castle, Gavius Arch, Roman Gate, Grass Square, Dante Square, Juliet's house with a balcony, Romeo House, Scaliger Mausoleum, St. Anastasia Church, Adige River Embankment, Roman Bridge, Roman Theatre.
