Lake Garda La dolce vita

Description:

Far from the hustle and bustle at the foot of the Alps, is the largest lake in Italy known worldwide as the Garda. Transparent waters of Garda wash the shores of the ancient city-semi-island Sermione, which has become a resort since ancient Rome. Over the millennia, nothing has changed, the owners of luxury villas on the banks of the Garda have always been the richest and most influential people in Italy, and later in the world.

This extraordinary place is famous not only for its picturesqueness, but also for its unique natural health complex, thermal springs, as well as an extraordinary atmosphere of harmony and tranquility. This place was created in order to relax not only the body, but also the soul.

Programme:

For the completeness of sensations and brightness of impressions, the excursion program is designed taking into account all the advantages and unique characteristics of the area, including gastronomy.

Our excursion will begin with acquaintance with the ancient resort town of Sermione, the entrance to which is carried out through the bridge of the Scaligerov castle, located on the shore of the lake (XIII century). Attached to the castle and completely surrounded by walls, the harbor is a unique structure for Europe. We will touch on the history of this city, get acquainted with its sights, features of local culture and life.

Having finished a walk in Sermione, we will take a comfortable boat and go to get acquainted with the unique phenomena and sights of the area. On the remote part of the Sirmione peninsula, there is a visiting card of the city - the legendary "Grottoes of Catulla". The complex of ruins of a Roman villa, where the family of the poet Gaius Valerius Catullus allegedly lived, is considered one of the largest surviving evidence of ancient Rome in Northern Italy.

Continuing our boat trip, we will see the place where the healing spring Fonte Boiola beats. The waters of this source contain impurities of sulfur, bromine and iodine and are used to treat and prevent various ailments. The spring itself is located at the bottom of the lake at a depth of 19 m, and already in Roman times its water was supplied to the surface through pipes of lead.

And, of course, we are waiting for unique emotions from the water walk on the lake, which in itself is more beautiful than any man-made attraction. If desired, you can swim in the lake directly from the boat, away from the noise and tourists.

At the end of the tour, we will get acquainted with the local gastronomy and wines, as well as a pleasant surprise from the guide.

See you at Lake Garda!
