Wine Riviera del Garda Classico and Valtenesi

Description:

Wine is an art that contains the history of its people, culture and traditions, but more than that, wine can convey emotions and generate sensations in all those who approach it.

The Riviera del Garda Classico wine zone is located in the province of Brescia and occupies the Gardens area in the middle of luxurious hills on the western side of Lake Garda, in the Lombardy region.

Valtenesi points to a narrow hilly zone in the middle of moraine hills, in the inner part of the Riviera del Garda, which is located between the lake towns of Salo and Desenzano.

This area has always been known as the Riviera del Garda, where the word "Riviera" has a special meaning, which indicates this special territory and everything that is produced in this area, namely lemons, olive oil, laurel and wine.

The white wine of the Riviera del Garda Classico DOC is made from grape varieties such as risling renano and risling italico. These grape varieties have belonged to these hills since winemaking was born in Valtenesi.

This elegant and complex wine with a mineral taste, has the aroma of orange and grapefruit flowers, the aroma of Mediterranean herbs (rosmary, thyme) and green lemon, field chamomile and flint. Other grape varieties are also used in the production of white wines, such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero.

The red wines of the Riviera del Garda have always been the pride of the producers of this zone, over time they were divided into three types: Riviera del Garda Red, Riviera del Garda Red Superior and Groppello. These wines are made from grape varieties such as mardzemino, barbera, sangiovese and groppello. They have a ruby color with a pomegranate hue, fruity aroma and almond flavor.

Following the tradition, in Valtenesi, such an autochthonous grape variety as Groppello is cultivated. This variety is considered an oenological rarity, as it is cultivated exclusively in a narrow area in Valtenesi, on the western side of Lake Garda. Groppello is a typical local red wine, velvet and drinkable, delicate ruby color, with a spicy and fruity flavor and almond aftertaste. This wine is produced, known and appreciated since ancient times, perhaps from the Roman era.

Gardezan Claret is a unique wine in the world of rose wines, due to its close connection with the territory, which has special pedoclimatic characteristics. The composition of the soil and the mild Mediterranean climate give the Gardesan Claret a unique and peculiar character, which is expressed in pleasant freshness and pronounced brackishness. This sweet and pleasant type of wine is very popular among women and young people.

Riviera del Garda Classico Claret DOC is a pinkish and original wine made from red grapes. This segment of wine is not a fashion, but an area with a certain personality. Claret, like other pink wines, has its own personality. Vinification takes place according to a special technique, after which the color of the wine turns pale pinkish or intensely pink, like “rose petals”, with an amazing floral aroma and aroma of forest berries.

The success of sparkling pink wine, which in Italy is called Spumante Rose, can be called certainly sensational, its use has increased in a rapid rhythm.

Riviera del Garda Classico Spumante Rose DOC is a sparkling, pale pink wine, similar in color to pink rose petals, with a light pearl and strawberry flavor. Sparkling and crispy, fresh and with a pleasant brackishness, its intense floral aroma resembles the aroma of roses. Spumante Rose wine is perfect as an aperitif for celebrations and anniversaries.

A sip of wine is a moment that leaves no words.

Wine is a tradition that never gets old.
