Yehiam Fortress

on highway No. 89 (Akko-Nakharia) turn at the intersection of Gavaton to highway No. 8833, the fortress is located in Kibbutz Yehiam.

Description:

Remains of the first and second temples can be found throughout Israel, from pottery excavations to ritual baths. There are fossil walls and tombs of the sheikh, graves of the righteous and buried cities of antiquity.

There are fortresses. Some of these buildings look like ancient castles in Europe, with arched windows and steep dark passageways. This is because they were built by the Crusaders.

Fortress Yechiam National Park is located in a small (and very nice) community in the Galilee called Yechiam. This kibbutz has a quiet charm, from a craft beer pub to a tall fortress that sits right on its outskirts.

The fortress of Yechiam was a fortress of the Crusaders, like other fortresses of Israel. But what makes the fortress so unique is that it was used again, from the time of the Crusaders to the present day. His last vital role was as a defensive post during the War of Independence: the kibbutz people fought bravely, defending their right to live on land, using the fortress for protection.
