Tabun Cave

Haifa, Israel

Description:

Tabun Cave is one of the most attractive and amazing mountainous places not only in Israel, but perhaps all over the world. It was discovered behind the western slope of Mount Carmel. The uniqueness of this mountain formation is that there are cultural layers of human development even before the Bronze Age.

In the layers of the cave found the remains of axes made of stone, knives and peculiar saws. Curiously, in the ceiling of the cave there is, apparently, an artificial hole, which was used for sacrifices or catching animals, since scientists found a significant number of bone formations below. Today, the cave is protected by UNESCO and is part of the Nahal Mearot Reserve.

To see the Tabun cave with your own eyes, you just need to get to the city of Haifa in Israel.
