The Dead Sea

Secrets of the Dead Sea

Description:

Usually the desire to visit the Dead Sea arises from people only because of interest in the notorious spa resort. But few people thought about the presence of cultural and historical monuments in this region, so we will devote the tour to familiarizing ourselves with them.

Our journey to the Dead Sea will pass through many places that hold the imprint of antiquity. This is the fortress of Masada with its interesting history and an extraordinary oasis with irresistible waterfalls – Ein Gedi. Also on our way will stand the Museum of Qumran, equipped under the majesty of heavenly space. It was here that the manuscripts of the book Apocalypse were discovered. Interesting places to meet on the way to the sea will be Mount Sodom, as well as a pillar of salt, which was Lot's wife.

  • Drive the car with all the amenities to the Judean desert, you will see unearthly landscapes. Although it is a desert, it is home to many unique animals: daman, Nubian goats. Still, the most interesting and memorable in the desert will be landscapes of invisible beauty.
  • Then we head to the fortress of Masada, which rightfully deserves the title of symbol of heroism. Its history began 2000 years when Herod the Great ordered the construction of a fortress that would serve as a bulwark against the attacking troops of the Romans. It is located in the middle of the desert on a high rock. It withstood a three-year siege, but its inhabitants still had to make a tough choice. They preferred death to slavery, remaining unconquered. The soldiers of the active Israeli army are now sworn in.
  • Then we head to the ancient settlement of Qumran. This is where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. They have an invaluable role in the history of Christianity. You will learn about the death of Sodom, Gomorrah, as well as many other fascinating myths, legends.
  • The next destination will be Ein Gedi. This reserve miraculously formed in the heart of the desert. On the way to the sea, we will explore the beauty of the paradise oasis, get the opportunity to admire the botanical garden, which is inhabited by exotic birds, enjoy the sounds of magnificent waterfalls.
  • At the end of the tour we will visit the cosmetics factory. In Ahab, cosmetics are made from minerals, mud of the world-famous Dead Sea. Such a souvenir with healing properties will be unforgettable and useful.
  • And finally we come to the final point of our walk – the Dead Sea. You will get a unique opportunity to plunge into the salt waters of the lake, feel the “zero gravity”, as well as the properties of the healing reservoir.

As you can see, a trip to the Dead Sea can be much more interesting with a properly selected program and an informed guide. To register for the tour, clarify the moments of interest, write or call.
