Kampot

Bokor National Park

Description:

To the east, 95 kilometers from Sihanoukville is the Bokor National Park - a huge green massif occupying a flat mountain plateau, raised 1079 meters above sea level. An abundance of natural objects (waterfalls, valleys of stones), religious buildings (Buddhist monasteries and temples, statues of local saints and sorcerers), historical buildings (an old French hotel, an abandoned Catholic church, a former royal palace), located on the edge of a cliff with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Thailand, create a unique atmosphere of a lost paradise hidden from prying eyes. After visiting the National Park, we will go to the city of Campot - the center of the province of the same name, a quiet town, narrow geometrically verified streets, embankments and squares of which still keep the charm of colonial architecture, where we will see the world's only monument to the fruits surrounding its king - Durian, as well as ancient French villas and many other historical buildings that make up the cultural heritage of a bygone era.
