Our unusually rich adventure will begin with a sightseeing tour of the city of Campot, the narrow streets and embankments of which still retain the charm of French colonial architecture. Next, we will go to the salt fields, where we can see local residents extracting natural sea salt using ancient technologies.
At noon we will visit the Cambodian Riviera, the resort town of Kep. Here live the most delicious on the entire coast of the Gulf of Thailand blue crabs. Everyone will be able to see this by trying a variety of crab dishes at a restaurant in the local seafood market. After resting, we will continue our journey - there are caves ahead of us. Let’s start with the Sosir pagoda, located in the dark depths of one of the many cave galleries. There are prayer altars and a small statue of Buddha. But the next ancient cave Kbal Romeas will amaze with its beauty due to its huge stalactites, hollow ringing walls, an abundance of bizarre growths resembling images of animals, and a network of intricate galleries. The conclusion of our exploration of the dungeons in the vicinity of Kampot will be the Chnork Cave with its 7th-century Shaivist temple. The final point of the route will be a cruise on a calm wide river. We will enjoy the sunset and flickering of fireflies in the coastal thickets. A delicious dinner on board the floating restaurant will perfectly complement the fabulous atmosphere.
