Mangistau non-stop: 8 miracles in a day

This route is designed for those who want to see the maximum number of iconic Mangystau locations in just one day. The tour combines natural monuments, sacred places, ancient landscapes and legendary mountains, each of which has its own history and character.

The journey begins with the chalk canyon Kapam Sai, located on the Tupkaragan Plateau, in the so-called Mangistau Silicon Valley. Its creamy white walls reach tens of meters in height, and massive boulders lie at the bottom of the canyon. In one of the grottoes, thanks to moisture and shade, a small green oasis was formed - a rare phenomenon for these places.

Further, the route leads to the underground mosque Shakpak-Ata - one of the most sacred places in the region, associated with the name of the Sufi elder healer. Nearby is the valley of Shakpak-Ata Sai with soap cliffs and silicon boulders, and its winding relief resembles the tail of a mythical dragon.

The next point is the Valley of Balls (Torysh), one of the most mysterious places in Mangystau. Here for tens of kilometers scattered stone nodules in the form of balls, cylinders and other bizarre figures. Sometimes there are fossilized remains of ancient marine life, a reminder of the existence of the Tethys Ocean.

After that, tourists visit Kok-Cola, where traces of vegetation of the Jurassic period are preserved. Blurred hills of red, white and black clay create a fantastic, almost prehistoric landscape.

Further, the route passes at the foot of the legendary Sherkala mountain, the shape of which resembles a giant yurt, then a resting lion. At the end of the day, travelers enter the green gorge of Samal with a cool spring, and the final point is the Valley of Castles of Airakta - the system of remaining mountains, famous for the drawings of Taras Shevchenko and known for its petroglyphs and panoramic views.
