Constitution Day of Kazakhstan

We, the people of Kazakhstan, united by a common historical fate, building statehood on the native Kazakh land, realizing ourselves as a peaceful civil society committed to the ideals of freedom, equality and harmony, wishing to take a worthy place in the world community, realizing our high responsibility to present and future generations, proceeding from our sovereign right, adopt this Constitution. On this day in all cities and regions of the republic, according to tradition, mass festive festivities and concerts of masters of amateur art are held. But most magnificently this holiday is celebrated in the northern and southern capitals of our state.
According to the form of state structure, in accordance with the amendments made to the Basic Law on May 18, 2007 at a joint session of the chambers of parliament, Kazakhstan is a unitary state with a presidential-parliamentary form of government.
