Charyn Canyon (Valley of Castles) +Courtogay Tract

Charyn Canyon is a unique natural monument. Located 200 km east of Almaty, in the valley of the Charyn River, the length of the canyon is 154 km. Its relief resembles the famous "Grand Canyon" (USA, but in a reduced size). Here you can spend hours wandering past strange towers, pillars, majestic castles, bizarre landscapes made of red sandstone and marvel at the exuberant imagination of nature. Fantastic "Valley of Castles" gives the impression of an amazing fairy-tale world whose age is more than 12 million years.

During the tour, we will visit the Kurtogay Tract, go down to the river, and walk along the Moon Valley. In the Charyn River, trout is found, relict ash trees, Dzungarian barberry, saxaul grow.
