Karkaralini National Park

Karkaralin National Park, due to its landscape diversity, is one of the most protected natural parks in Kazakhstan.

The park was founded in 1998 by order of the government. The total area of the park exceeds 100 thousand hectares. On this territory there are unique landscapes, many relict plants, quite a lot of rare and endangered plant species.

The climate in the park is more temperate than in the neighboring regions, due to this, several species of reptiles and amphibians, about 40 species of mammals and about 114 species of birds live in the park.
