issyk-Kul + Konorchek Canyons

On the tour we go from the city of Bishkek, along a picturesque road along the border with Kazakhstan. Along the way, you will have stunning views of the Tien Shan mountain ranges on both sides of the road, organically combined with the panorama of endless fields and hills in front of them. The journey to our first stop takes about 2-2.5 hours. During this time, the landscapes outside the window will change from mountain ranges to sheer cliffs of incredible height, and the road will go to the highway wagging and maneuvering between these rocks like a mountain river, carrying us with its stream upwards, to centuries-old natural beauties.
Konorchek Canyons is a unique system of canyons, hidden in the heart of the Kyrgyz Range, and is an intricate system of canyons winding among clay rocks. These canyons have been formed for tens of thousands of years, and have a striking resemblance to the “Grand Canyon” located in the United States, you can only get to the canyon system through the bed of a parched ancient river, which literally “paved” the way to them from the gorge.
We are waiting for an unforgettable trekking with overcoming small obstacles. But do not worry, this route, if properly maintained, can easily master even a child of 6 years.
After inspecting the canyon system, we return to the car, take a little rest, have a snack with cookies and mountain tea that we always have with us, to recuperate and make the last leap to meet the shore of Issyk-Kul. Issyk-Kul is the pride of the Kyrgyz people and, of course, a source of food for many generations of hereditary fishermen. And where if not in the “city of Rybakov” is worth to get acquainted with the Kyrgyz Sea? We will visit the beach of this town, take beautiful photos against the background of the mountain ranges of the opposite shore and see the “catch” of fishermen, which they offer at the local market, not far from the town itself.
At your request, we can also have dinner with fresh trout, located in Balykchi trout farm.
The tour will take us almost all day, and we will return to Bishkek by the evening, which will give you the opportunity to once again enjoy the already “new” views of pinking mountain ranges at sunset.
