The gorge of Barskoon amazes with its size, expanses, high mountains, waterfalls. In the gorge of Barskoon, among the relict firs and pines, hidden three waterfalls originating from the glaciers of the highlands. The lowest of them is the Manas Cup, a little higher is Aksakal’s Beard, and at the very top is the Tears of Leopard (aka Champagne Splash). Here, the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin admired the beauty of Issyk-Kul. The air is so clean that you can eat with a spoon. The water in the falls is cold and crystal clear. Admiring the waterfalls, we go further, through the pass to an altitude of 3980 m. and get to the Arabelsky Syrty.
Arabel Shirts are a huge plateau with tundra vegetation, lakes, flocks, shepherds. Thousands of sheep eat here in the summer, and by winter they go down some of their paths. The plateau is famous for its glacial lakes, there are more than fifty of them. The beauty is extraordinary. Silence is born here...
