Belogorka Falls and Mineral Springs

We invite you to tour two stunning mountain gorges to the highest waterfall in the northern part of Kyrgyzstan. The route includes a trip through the mountain gorges, a stop at one of the oldest deposits of mineral waters of Ak-Suu and a short walk to the Belogorka waterfall, along the bed of the river of the same name. In other words, clean air, stunning views, healing mineral water and the noise of water that breaks off a sheer cliff at an altitude of more than 60 meters, all this awaits you on our tour.

The entire tour takes about 7-8 hours, all locations are located relatively close to Bishkek (100 km).

The first point of the route - Mineral springs "Aksuu". This legendary mountain deposit of natural mineral waters, at an altitude of more than 2300 km, was discovered in 1949. The water is very rich in minerals and iron, which gives an incredible fiery red hue to the bed of this mineral spring and the many streams that diverge in a fascinating web from the source throughout the valley.

Walking through the valley of the gorge, you can find a huge pointer stone, which has a mark about the peak, named after Vladimir Putin. In cloudless weather, this stone offers a stunning view of this summit.

The next point of our route is the cafe of national cuisine "Happiness is!". This cafe is well located on the way from one gorge to another, while it has a very pleasant selection of national dishes and no less pleasant prices for them.

After a soulful dinner, we go to the Belogorka gorge, in which the waterfall and the river of the same name are located. Due to its unusual relief, which mostly consists of return rocks, this gorge is strikingly different from all other crevices of the northern part of Kyrgyzstan. The road will pass along a smooth “serpentine” along a full-flowing mountain river to a stop on a hill, without reaching the waterfall of about three kilometers, but from which the noise of falling and breaking water on the rocks will already be heard.

There is no road to the waterfall itself, but there is a pedestrian equipped trail, on the one hand stretches a rock whose height is more than 100 meters, and on the other, a roaring and winding mountain river. At the same time, the route itself is very easy without sharp ascents or descents, and the whole passes in almost one plane. The total length of the route from the parking lot to the observation platform of the Belogorka waterfall is 2.5 km.

Belogorka waterfall is the highest waterfall in the northern part of Kyrgyzstan and affects the ointment of its stream. Due to a very strong current and the “exit” of the waterfall from a sheer cliff, this waterfall does not have a smooth descent, and the entire stream collapses from a height of sixty meters, breaking into the rocks, lifting spray clouds into the air and filling the entire valley with its roar.
