Hong Kong

From Chain to Wave: A Day in Hong Kong

Description:

This is not just a sightseeing tour. It’s an immersion into the soul of Hong Kong through its brightest and most unexpected facets. In one day we go from the gloomy camera of the XIX century to the dazzling windows of luxury boutiques, from the quiet harbor on the legendary ferry to the bustling street.

Route.

(1) Victoria Prison in Tai Kwun complex

Walk through the cells where the prisoners languished, and experience a dark history right in the center of the business district.

Imagine: you enter through the arch of a former police station, and before you opens Tai Kwun - a huge historical complex where the court was once held, and behind its walls served a sentence. Here everything is imbued with the spirit of old Hong Kong: thick walls of granite, narrow chambers and gloomy corridors. The most amazing thing is that today this place has become a cultural center with art galleries and stylish cafes, where the past and the present are intertwined at every step.

2) Tsimshatsuy Embankment and Avenue of Stars (Avenue of Stars) Go out to the promenade of Tsimshatsuy district - and the breathtaking from the opening panorama. This is a classic Hong Kong postcard: skyscrapers gleaming in the sun and the endless water surface of the harbor. Walk down the Walk of Stars, Hong Kong’s equivalent of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where you’ll find the palm prints of Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Lee, and dozens of other legends of oriental cinema. And at the water itself rises a bronze statue of Bruce Lee in his famous battle stand – a must-see for photos.

3) Walk to the main island by Star Ferry ferry

Star Ferry is not just a transport, it is a symbol of Hong Kong, which has been floating on the harbor since 1888. In 10 minutes you will cross Victoria Harbor. A ticket to the upper deck costs only a couple of dollars, and impressions - for a lifetime. This is the best way to start exploring Hong Kong and feel its pulse.

(4) K11 Musea (Key-11 Musea): A unique cultural and retail center on the Tsimshatsuy embankment. This is not just a shopping mall, but a real museum where art is integrated into shopping. It features both luxury brands and galleries and installations.
