Tsim Sha Tsui Tower
Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, 10 Salisbury Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong
Description:
The tower was open to the public, as well as the observation deck, which could be climbed by an internal wooden staircase.
Construction of the Kowloon railway station was announced on October 1, 1910, but World War I prevented this plan. The implementation of the idea began only in 1913. Three years later, the station was completed. At the same time, a clock tower appeared.
In 1975, Kowloon Station was moved to a new location and the station building was demolished despite protests and petitions. However, as a compromise, it was decided to keep the tower.
