St. Margaret's Church
2A, Broadwood Road, Happy Valley, Hong Kong, China
Description:
St. Margaret’s Church is a beautiful temple in old Hong Kong. It is not quite typical for religious buildings architecture - the facade decorates the Doric portico.
A large church building was built in 1925. Clad with granite and decorated with a portico, it does not look quite standard for the urban environment of Hong Kong. To the left and right of the entrance to the temple are statues of Saints Paul and Peter. Large windows decorate sockets and stained glass, an impressive staircase leads to the entrance, a high bell tower is located immediately behind the portico. The Church breathes greatness and splendor. Catholic Masses are celebrated every day. The interior of the church is simple but elegant and combines classical and Gothic styles.
