Ma On Shan Nature Park
eastern New Territories, Hong Kong, China
Description:
Ma On Shan Nature Park is a large recreational area covering a mountain range that is famous for incredible scenery.
The creation of the park dates back to 1979. It is located on the isthmus of the peninsula in the eastern part of the New Territories. The area of the park is approximately 30 square kilometers.
The park is famous for its natural beauty and incredible beauty landscapes. Human intervention in this environment was minimal, so the park retained almost pristine wild charm. Crossed terrain periodically opens a view of the sea. The mountain slopes here are practically devoid of vegetation, but here and there there are thickets of rhododendrons and beautiful ferns and orchids. During walks you can meet wild animals - boars, deer and even porcupines.
It is worth noting that the mountainous terrain of the park determines the complexity of hiking routes. But those who overcome them will be rewarded with spectacular views.
