Lantau Country Park

Lantau Country Park is a natural secluded place on Lantau Island. It consists of two rural parks: Lantau North and South Parks.

Lantau South Park covers an area of 56.4 square kilometers and was established in 1978. Lantau North Park covers about 22 square kilometers.

Each of the parks has its own special attractions. The South Park has a beautiful seascape. It is home to rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, as well as some species of wildlife. In the southern park you can see stunningly colorful birds and butterflies. The main goal of many tourists is to reach Lantau Peak, the highest point in the park. It offers a magnificent view of the island.

Lantau Park is famous for its rare species of animals. Chinese white dolphins can be seen in the northern park. Here you can admire the landscape of the nearby islands.
