Hopewell Centre skyscraper
Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen's Rd E, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
Description:
Construction began in 1977 and was completed in 1980. Hopewell Centre was the tallest building in Hong Kong. It was also the second tallest building in Asia. This title belonged to him until 1989.
A circular layout is used in the building. Right behind the entrance doors is a whole system of escalators that takes visitors to the third floor to the elevators. However, the building can be accessed from the other side, and since the Hopewell Centre stands on the slope of a steep hill, it is located on the 17th floor. On the roof of the skyscraper is a circular pool.
On the 62nd floor there is a “rotating” restaurant, which alternately overlooks other high-rise buildings and the harbor. The restaurant makes a 360-degree turn every hour.
