Nina Tower Skyscraper
Nina Tower, 8 Yeung Uk Rd, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong
Description:
Before the start of construction, it was decided to change the design and build two towers instead of one. They symbolize the owners of the building - Teddy and Nina Wong, but the entire complex is called Nina Tower.
Nina Tower has a sad but amazing story. Teddy Wong was kidnapped twice. The first time Nina managed to buy her husband for 33 million Hong Kong dollars, but the next time the kidnappers demanded twice as much. Nina managed to collect only 34, but it was too late. Her husband is missing. The kidnappers said they threw the man into the water from the boat he was being held on all along. His body was never found. Nina had to take over her husband’s business, after which she became the wealthiest woman in Asia.
The towers are designed in Art Nouveau style, using many glass elements, rounded roofs. They are connected on the 42nd floor by the Sky Bridge, which offers a fascinating view of the city. Having lowered your eyes, you will see a window of thick glass, from where from a height you can see a cozy garden that surrounds the Nina Tower from the side of the embankment. At night there is an impressive night illumination.
The Nina Tower is home to office and retail space as well as the 5-star Nina L’Hotel Et Convention Centre.
