Description:

Golden Bauhinia Square or Jinjijing Square is the square where the Hong Kong flag-raising ceremony takes place every morning. It is held with the participation of Hong Kong policemen and to the sounds of the national anthem. The square of Golden Bauhinia is named after the giant gilded sculpture “Eternally blooming Bauhinia”. The sculpture reaches a height of 6 meters. It was presented to the people in honor of the return of Hong Kong to China, which was formerly a British colony. On the opposite corner of the square is another monument, the installation of which is also dedicated to this event. It consists of 206 tiles and reaches a height of 20 meters.

The square is the most visited place and the main attraction of Hong Kong. You can always see many tourists from other countries and China. In the evening you can admire the famous Hong Kong “Symphony of Lights”. Walking along the 400-meter promenade offers amazing views of Victoria Harbour.
