No. 87 Liurong Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, China

Description:

The temple of Luzhong is called the temple of six banyan trees. This oldest building is one of the four most important Buddhist temples in Guangzhou.

The temple is about 1,400 years old. It is well known both in China and abroad and is famous for its extensive historical and cultural collection. Inside the temple is also a statue of the laughing Buddha.

Luzhun was rebuilt several times, but in general retained its original features. The most significant part of the temple - the flower pagoda - was built in 1097 and got its name for its similarity with flower petals. It has also been rebuilt more than once. From square in the base gradually turned into a building with an octagonal base. The pagoda was finally restored in 1900. It rises to 58 meters and is distinguished by exquisite carvings.
