Lian Hua Lotus Mountains in Panyu Province
Panyu District, Guangzhou, China
Description:
The Lotus Mountains of Lian Hua in Panyu Province are rightfully considered one of the most picturesque places in Guangdong Province.
The Lian Hua mountain system unites about 50 picturesque hills located on the banks of the Shizi River. The total height of the mountains is quite small - a little over a hundred meters, and it is more a system of hills than mountains in the usual sense. The main hill - Lian Hua (which in Chinese means: lotus) - is so named because the stone on its top resembles the outlines of a lotus flower.
In ancient times, the breed was developed at this place. And that form of relief, which is now called the Lian Hua Mountains, is essentially a bizarre combination of natural and anthropogenic activity.
An additional decoration of the landscape is the ancient tower of Lian Hua, which once served as a beacon for passing ships.
