Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is an international airport that is one of the key in China. It is located on the southern shore of Qiantang, 27 kilometers from the city of Hangzhou. Its area is about 5 square kilometers, during the year more than 15 million passengers and 110 thousand of all kinds of cargo are transported. Currently, 193 airlines are involved, which operate flights to 94 cities within the country and abroad. In the summer of 2010, a new international terminal was opened at the airport.

The airport building consists of three floors. At the bottom there is a parking lot where about 200 cars can be parked, the second floor occupies the arrivals hall, the third one is designed for departure of passengers. On the territory of Hangzhou Xiaoshan there is a huge hotel, covering an area of about 96,000 square meters, where crew members and transit passengers can relax safely before the next flight. On the square before leaving the airport building there is a taxi and shuttle buses that transport passengers to 20 destinations.

There are a lot of different green spaces and flowers on the territory of the airport, so Hangzhou Xiaoshan is also called “airport garden”.
